Staff Profiles

Clair Hemenway, EA
Clair is an Enrolled Agent licensed by the Internal Revenue Service. Clair has been preparing taxes for individuals, farms, and small businesses in the Red Wing area for over 50 years. The last 28 of those years have been at the same location.  Clair is an active member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the National Association of Enrolled Agents, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Society of Enrolled Agents.

When not doing taxes, Clair enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time at his cabin in Northern Wisconsin.

Emily McWaters, EA
Emily is an Enrolled Agent licensed by the Internal Revenue Service.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Certification in Learning Disabilities and Emotional, Behavioral Disorders.  She taught school for 25 years. She also has an Accounting Certification from St. Mary’s College.  She has been working with Clair at Hemenway Accounting since 2015.  She is an active member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the National Association of Enrolled Agents, and the Minnesota Society of Enrolled Agents.

When not working on taxes, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, playing piano, reading, and seeing different places.
